Exposed Aggregate
An exposed aggregate finish means that the top 1/8” or ¼” of your concrete is washed away during the finishing process. This exposes the top of the rocks and can be very attractive. In general, exposed mixes use 3/8” rock, because they are more uniform in size than ¾” rocks and we can pack more of them into a mix. Our best 3/8” exposed mix is called Mix 305527. Other mixes are available as well. One thing to remember is that there are lots of rocks in exposed mixes, which can make them difficult to pump and difficult to place.
