About Us
Since the 1950s, Valley Concrete & Gravel has been a member of the Independence, Monmouth, and Dallas communities. We are committed to providing top-quality building materials and to being as helpful as possible to every customer, every day, at every level of our organization. Safety comes first, and Valley Concrete has a variety of formal safety programs. They include our safe delivery program, called JOBSITE, which helps protect our drivers and our customers. Valley offers nearly 100 different kinds of concrete, plus sand, gravel, and crushed quarry rock. The rock at Valley’s Bethel Heights Quarry is some of the best in the Willamette Valley. We have strategic relationships with some of the area’s best craftsmen and women.
Our quality is protected by an ODOT-accredited quality control department. We have the ability to create innovative concrete mix designs and we relentlessly test our materials for quality. Valley Concrete believes in sustainability. We use recycled fly ash, a by-product of coal fired power plants, in our concrete. We provide fiber reinforcement made from recycled plastics, to battle cracks in concrete.
Our local family of companies includes Salem Road & Driveway, a Salem construction and paving company, and River Bend Sand & Gravel, a Salem supplier of concrete, gravel, crushed rock, and asphalt.
In 2006 Valley Concrete was purchased by Oldcastle Materials, one of the largest building materials suppliers in North America. Oldcastle provides jobs for thousands of Americans at more than 1,400 locations across the country. Our association with Oldcastle provides us with strong financial support and links us to other quality Oldcastle companies like Green & White Rock Products in Corvallis and Eugene Sand & Gravel in Eugene.
